Croatian MMA prospect Filip Pejić is to defend his featherweight belt October 21 at FFC 30 in Linz, Austria. This will be Pejić’s second title defense.
Pejić won the featherweight division belt in Linz at FFC 26 in 2016 when he defeated Ahmed Vila via TKO. After FFC 26 he fought in front of his hometown audience in Zagreb, Croatia, at FFC 27 where he defeated James Brum. Pejić will now defend the featherweight title for the second time, but this time his opponent will be dangerous Russian Arbi Mezhidov who is currently living and training in Austria.
FFC fans had the opportunity to see Mezhidov last year in Linz at FFC 26 when he defeated Croatia’s Marko Burušić.
Having in mind the fact that both fighter scored impressive wins last time Final Fight Championship visited Linz, there is no doubt that this bout is sure to produce fireworks.
